Yes, nature has often been referred to as God's second book.
God communicates with us through:1 - His prophets, which make up much of the Scriptures, and which also includes the writing of Ellen G. White.
2 - His angels, which are also recorded in the Scriptures.
3 - His Son, Jesus Christ, who is also our Creator. His words, teachings, etc. are also recorded the Scriptures, particularly in the New Testament portion of the Scriptures.
4 - His creation, which not only includes nature as seen on this earth, but also the sun, the moon, the stars, etc.
5 - the Holy Spirit, who leads and guides us into all truth.
I like the following quote from Wednesday's section:
God has revealed Himself through nature, science, the Bible, Jesus, divine providence in our lives, human relationships, and the Holy Spirit. He also reveals Himself through the image of God reflected in those who have dedicated their lives to Him.
1 - Nature.
2 - Science.
3 - The Bible (Scriptures).
4 - Christ.
5 - Divine providence.
6 - Human relationships.
7 - The Holy Spirit.
8 - Through those of us who have dedicated our lives to Him.
